The Jack Bloor Fund has helped me to attend the Biathlon Youth/Junior World Championships in Kazakhstan, this was my first World Championships and being able to go was amazing.
Whilst out in Kazakhstan I did 3 races, the first being a 15km individual race where I hit 16/20 and this was my best performance of the week. From that race I was moved into the Junior team from the Youth team for the relay race where we finished 17th team. My final race I finished 75th in the 7.5km sprint. The track was a mainly up hill course however into the range was a long downhill which meant we could get a lot of recovery in before we came to shoot.
The Fund will go towards my camp costs whilst being away competing which includes the hotel and transport. As Biathlon is a developing sport in GB we do not receive much funding, so camps can be expensive as they are usually abroad where the snow is. I really appreciate the financial support from Jack Bloor Fund.
